Historic Figueroa Corridor Walking Tour
The two-hour tour begins at 4pm and winds it way among the streets adjacent to North Figueroa. Ending about 6pm.
Get a glimpse of layers of history in Los Angeles’s first designated business district from its Native American roots, to Spanish land grant, to downtown commercial district and automobile-oriented Route 66 corridor. The Highland Park – Garvanza Historic Preservation Overlay Zone encompasses over 4,000 structures including over 50 Historic-Cultural Monuments.
Easily accessed by MTA buses and the Gold Line, and with available parking nearby, docents will meet participants in the pergola at the Avenue 57 Highland Park Gold Line Station.
