Every two years The Highland Park Heritage Trust honors the efforts of homeowners, business owners, and special neighborhood people who have preserved and/or improved the heritage of our Arroyo communities with a preservation award.
We are now taking nominations for 2018. If you know of someone whose preservation work deserves recognition, just take a few minutes to tell us about the qualifying individual or project.
HPHT’s Awards Committee will receive and carefully review your nomination and will visit nominated buildings. The committee gives awards based on which nominees best match HPHT’s mission. In the past, these preservation awards have gone to a wide range of people, buildings, murals, gardens, and events in Highland Park and the surrounding Arroyo Seco communities of Garvanza, Mt Washington, Hermon, Montecito Heights, and Cypress Park. You can view past awards recipients here.
This PDF nomination form includes the nominating guidelines and criteria. You can either fill out the form and e-mail it to us, mail it to us, or just type the necessary information in an e-mail to us. Please put “Nomination” in the subject line if e-mailing.
mail: HPHT, PO Box 50894, Los Angeles, CA 90050-0894.
The awards will be presented at a Bi-annual Awards Ceremony that will take place on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at a location and time to be announced.
Thank you for taking the first step to celebrate the contributions of our community members!
